What data we collect and why
As Memo Casino UK, we collect the personal information needed to verify identity, process payments and comply with our terms, effective from 1 November 2024 alongside our privacy policy. The table below sets out the main categories we request.
| Data Type | Purpose | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Passport/ID, proof of address | Identity verification (KYC) | Proof of address must not be older than 6 months |
| Selfie with open passport | Matching identity to account | Requested during verification |
| Card front photo | Confirming payment method | First 5 and last 4 digits only |
| Phone contact details | Pre-payout checks | We may call before releasing a withdrawal |
We ask for only what each stage of verification requires, and documents are reviewed by our KYC team within 24 hours of submission.
How we secure and retain your information
We protect personal and payment data with SSL encryption and run third-party security tests several times a year to confirm our systems hold up. A dedicated fraud department and 24/7 intrusion detection monitor the platform continuously, alongside the account checks described in our full overview of what we offer.
Verification deadlines and account status
Once documents are requested, we ask that they be submitted within 15 days, and accounts under review carry a Temporarily Approved status until our KYC team reaches a decision. If we cannot reach a player by email or phone for two weeks during a payout check, funds may be retained until contact is re-established.
Inactive accounts are also subject to data and funds handling under our terms: after 12 months of inactivity a £10 monthly fee applies, and after 30 months without activity the remaining balance is confiscated. We recommend keeping login details current, which also makes it easier to use account access and password recovery when needed.
Using your data across deposits and withdrawals
The information we hold on file is also used to process transactions through the methods listed on our payments page, including matching a withdrawal to the same account details used for deposit. For card payments, refunds are limited to the amount originally deposited, and any proof of address or bank statement supplied for a refund request must not be older than 90 days.
Where a refund or verification decision is required, we aim to confirm the outcome within 7 business days and complete it within 48 hours once approved. This timeline runs alongside the standard withdrawal processing window described for our banking methods, and keeping documents current helps avoid delays when claiming offers such as those on our bonus page.
We only use the data gathered for verification, payment processing and account security purposes set out in our terms and privacy policy, both effective from 1 November 2024.
